From Dinner to Diva

What began as a relaxing evening of dinner and drinks at one of our favourite local Chinese restaurants in Ormskirk soon turned into a night none of us will ever forget! Unbeknown to us, the venue had planned a surprise karaoke celebration in honour of Chinese New Year.

At first, we wondered whether we’d be able to enjoy a peaceful meal and conversation with the music in full swing… but it turned out that our fun-loving over 40’s women’s social group stole the show!

What followed was a whirlwind of singing, dancing, and laughter, with new friendships forming around the table and on the dancefloor.

Our group’s energy was infectious, and by the end of the night, Catherine Hatch had proudly claimed the winning karaoke prize:  (A table of four for a future dining experience).   This was a fabulous bonus to an already magical night.

This unexpected cultural celebration brought together women from across Southport, Ormskirk, Liverpool, Formby, Skelmersdale and West Lancashire, many of whom had never met before.

At Culture Calendar, we know that sometimes, the best memories happen when you least expect them — especially if you have fun loving women who aren’t afraid to take to the floor, dance, and sing their hearts out!
