Celebrating a natural evolution
With over a decade of dedication to nurturing vibrant arts and culture communities, I’ve cultivated a unique expertise in audience-led reviews and recommendations for theatre, live entertainment, and performing arts.
But what began as a passion project in 2013 and a simple online post under the name: “Social Butterflies,” quickly blossomed into Culture Calendar—a thriving women’s social group in Merseyside and West Lancashire, celebrating 10 fabulous years of laughter, from hot flushes to hilarious grandkid stories, shared wisdom, our members have enjoyed countless performances from Chicago, Wicked, Matthew Bournes Sleeping Beauty, Kinky Boots, and numerous “An Audience with” nights.
Culture Calendar has flourished into a supportive community of like-minded individuals who shared a love for theatre, concerts, comedy, fine dining, and memorable days out.
In 2026, with more than a decade of successfully bringing women together for arts and culture, we are thrilled to embark on our next evolution: expanding into creative writing, podcasting, and fostering global creative collaborations.
My nuanced understanding of what truly resonates with audiences ensures that Culture Calendar remains at the forefront of cultural engagement.
Now, ten years on, we are not just celebrating our past but boldly stepping into the future. Culture Calendar is evolving to embrace creative writing, launch inspiring podcasts, and forge creative collaborations across the globe, leveraging my deep understanding of audience engagement to lead the way.
✨ So many key take-aways, but one of my favourites: “I came alone but left with friends.”
