Coach sizes vary considerably, from just 18 to 50 seats, so securing your place early guarantees the best options for travel and seating. Whether you’re joining a small group for an intimate theatre trip or a larger party for a cultural weekend away, early reservations help us personalise your experience and manage logistics seamlessly.

Don’t wait until the last minute—many of our events sell out well in advance. Booking early gives you peace of mind and first access to our handpicked performances, ensuring every journey is as smooth and enjoyable as the destination itself.

Non-members are very welcome at Culture Calendar Open Events which happen on a monthly basis in either Southport, or Ormskirk.

These Open Events are ideal for getting a feel for our vibrant Women’s Friendship Group.  Simply click on the “Open Events” tab to view our next event.

However, for full access and the best value, becoming a Culture Calendar member is key. Members enjoy priority booking and exclusive access to coach travel and tickets for all forms of live entertainment—from ballet and musicals to comedy, cabaret, and more. These events top tier ticketed events are not visible and available for booking to non-members because we are building a fun and vibrant community of women who book solo.

Occasionally, Platinum Members may also invite a guest (partner, friend, or family, male or female). Plus, our annual family-friendly event welcomes mums, dads, children, and grandchildren—just be sure to check the age guidelines, as all children must be accompanied by an adult family member.

To join a Culture Calendar Coach Trip, you’ll first need to subscribe to the Culture Calendar Women’s Friendship Group.

Once logged in, you will quickly see that your Platinum Membership unlocks it all – All local events, fine dining, weekends away, West End Theatre Trips, Ballet, Murder Mystery and more.

When booking your Culture Calendar Coach Trip, select your nearest pick-up point in Southport, Ormskirk, Maghull or Skelmersdale, and book your place for one person.

If this is a Plus One Event, it will be clearly identified, and you can opt to book two tickets instead of one.

Non-members can view open events under the “Open Events” tab.   However, Platinum Membership is best for a full social experience, and best value by far.

Culture Calendar Luxury Coach Trips operate on a tight schedule, often linked to ticketed events where timing is crucial. Delays at one pick-up point can affect all others and risk late arrival at the venue. To ensure a smooth experience for all, it’s vital to stick to the Culture Calendar Schedule.

We prioritise group travel and the enjoyment of every member.   As tickets and travel are non-refundable, punctuality is key. If you’re running late, please contact your host immediately—we’ll do our best to help.

Should you miss the group before the performance, your host will leave your ticket at the box office for collection. You may then rejoin your party inside the venue, where possible.

However, please note: some theatres will not allow latecomers to take their seat—especially if it’s in our usually excellent centre stalls—once the performance begins, to avoid disrupting the audience.

Your host holds all theatre and event tickets until the group enters the venue—so no last-minute scrambles. You’ll go in together, be seated together, enjoy a drink together lol, and enjoy the experience as one vibrant group. No stress, just smiles.

That’s a great question! While our Culture Calendar Platinum Membership is the best value to guarantee your spot on our sought-after luxury coach trips and exclusive women’s social events, we occasionally consider opening up remaining spaces on specific Member Events to Non-Members.

Given the popularity of our outings and the strong demand from our wonderful members, it’s rare that we have spare seats. Our priority is always to our loyal Platinum Members who enjoy the full benefits of our women’s social group and fun loving community.

However, in the exceptional circumstance where a space is available, we would first ask Platinum Members if they wished to invite a Plus One for that particular event, which would be subject to an additional non-member fee.   This is a great opportunity for a one-off taster of the Culture Calendar experience.

Ultimately, becoming a Culture Calendar Platinum Member offers the best value, ensuring you never miss out on our fantastic theatre trips, concerts, art exhibitions, and the chance to connect with local like-minded women.
