Coldplay Tribute at St George’s Hall, Liverpool

Candlelight music concerts have transformed how we enjoy live music, blending classical elegance with modern pop favourites in iconic venues across the UK. Our recent visit to St George’s Hall Liverpool for a Coldplay string quartet tribute was a perfect example of how magical these nights can be.

Gathered in the historic Concert Room, surrounded by architectural grandeur, our Culture Calendar ladies settled in for a truly memorable evening.

As the lights dimmed and the room filled with anticipation, the flicker of candlelight created a warm, intimate atmosphere. Glasses in hand and hearts full of excitement, we waited for that first unmistakable chord.

The string quartet, introduced with charm and grace, performed Coldplay’s greatest hits — from Fix You to Sky Full of Stars — with elegance and emotion. The music, the setting, and the company made for a soulful and uplifting night out.

It wasn’t just a concert – it was a shared moment of culture, connection, and community. We found ourselves wondering about all the incredible performances that had taken place in this landmark over the past 150 years… and how lucky we were to have added our own story to that history.
