By special demand, we have taken this vintage steam train dining experience twice now … through the breathtaking Irwell Valley countryside. With silver service dining onboard beautifully restored carriages, the experience was a nostalgic blend of elegance, scenery, and social connection.

Travelling in style, members were collected by Culture Calendar’s private coach from key locations across Merseyside and West Lancashire, arriving directly at the station with no long walks or transport worries. Once aboard the heritage steam train, guests were treated to a delectable four-course meal, served piping hot in luxurious surroundings.

Several stops along the journey offered time to stretch legs, take in the views, and enjoy picture-perfect moments on the platform — a true step back in time.
