A stunning and iconic landmark, Culture Calendar have visited St Georges Hall on many occasion, not least as this Grade I listed building, built in the mid 1800’s.
What have been done so far on Culture Calendar organized day trips ?
We were in Liverpool for the giant puppets, and went to see Grannie taking a nap in The Great Hall, St Georges Hall, Liverpool.
Culture Calendar organized day trips have also seen “A Christmas Carol”.
A play with a difference as it was acted out in the depths of St Georges Hall, where you find dimly lit passage ways and the clanking of large central heating pipes.
I would be lying if I didnt confess to us having attended a few Beer & Gin Festivals at St Georges Hall too. I couldnt call this one an organised day trip, perhaps closer to an organised pi .. I mean booze up, after a dry January 2020. It wasnt a dry March, April or May with the next 18 months facing pandemic lockdown.
I remember there being a close encounter with the grim reaper too, as he held a glass of Guinness in one hand, and his scythe in the other. Not someone to mess with.
Such a stunning venue, with a regular Culture Calendar of events, and the convenience of luxury coach for a great night out which never finishes before the last train home.
