When I watched the musical as a kid, I was glued to the singing and dancing, but it was only having seen the stage performance recently, it struck me as being much more of a romance!

Full of humour as the storyline highlights the challenges of moving from silent movies to talking pictures.

Every character played a great part!

Boy did it pour down (on stage) .. taking several stage hands the entire interval to mop things up 😍
