“A Gothic Romance”

Its always good to try new trips and events, because, without trying it, you will never really know just how much you’re going to love it … as we did!

Am I someone who has seen a lot of Ballet ? Not at all, but Matthew Bournes, Sleeping Beauty A Gothic Romance Ballet was a truly enchanting stage performance from start to finish.

Accompanied by music from composer Tchaikovsky.

The performing cast were spectacular. The stage sets were mystical. Ballet costumes wistful and mysterious, and the puppetry was both clever and funny all rolled into one!

Pretty incredible to see a supernatural love story performed live on stage with no words. A stage performance that transported us back in time to the Edwardian Era with mystery and intrigue at every turn.

Its no wonder this performance quickly became that fastest selling production in the history of Matthew Bourne.
