White Christmas the Musical is an all singing, all dancing, musical extravaganza with a fantastic cast, including much loved Liverpool’s own Michael Starke, who played General Waverly brilliantly.

This Christmas 2022 stage performance at The Liverpool Empire has so much heart, it would warm anyone up! 

Funny that sitting next to me were a small party of people that weren’t from the UK. Not an accent that I recognised .. not that it mattered at all.

This group could have had a real life Fred Astaire in their midst!  His feet tapped throughout the musical numbers.  His finger tips tapped so lightly, but deliberately on his knee, and his hands swayed so gracefully … he could have been conducting his own orchestra!

I couldn’t count the amount of times I heard them gasp in awe!   It really made me smile, but it really made me think …

“Do we take the wealth of talent and entertainment for granted, because its permanently such a high standard” ?  From watching Fred & Co sitting next to me last night … I would have to say that the answer is most definitely “yes”.

There was the usual announcement before the performance … NO PHOTOGRAPHS … but then they said  UNTIL THE END OF THE SHOW! 😲

Well, I think pretty much everyone had their phone out – and I thought “What the hell, in for a penny” – and I took a video instead.  Why ?

There is no way that anyone could have captured such an atmosphere at The Liverpool Empire Stalls last night.   (check out @culturecalendar facebook page 08th Dec 2022)

A great mid week turn out, and great performance at The Liverpool Empire Theatre.

A well deserved standing ovation.  Dancing, clapping, and ofcourse the bonus of a picture (video) at the end.
